Kenya :

As Kenya awaits the big visit by ICC prosecutor Moreno Ocampo, the internally displaced persons have lined up their petitions among which they want Ocampo to spearhead the prosecution of President Mwai Kibaki and Prime minister Raila Odinga. Most of the IDPs who are still living in camps years after the violence have lost hope of living decent lives ever and their aggression towards the two principals is as a result of their failure to live up to their promise of resettling them to safe places. He has already written to the president requesting him to allow ICC to investigate and try kingpins of post-election violence. If Ocampo’s signal is anything to go by Kibaki and Raila might be forced to make hard decisions that may see some of their closest confidants coming into collision with the law. All eyes are on Ocampo and we all hope that his current position would persist until justice comes to our door steps.

at last kenyans will have the chance to see how justice ought to be done. we have been used to educated sycophants who play to their financier's gallery. i am quite sure that by the end of this process, very few kenyans will be ready to slaughter their neighbours regardless of ethnic extraction. as i said before, this process is out of our hands.to all ye tribalists, cut the crap and think soberly!

Jihoon, good thoughts, its always nice to think positively of our own country that has been ruined by politicians, if anything Ocampo is a heroe to me, his calm approach to the Kenyan matter is the best of all, I cant even compare him with the US that so far has only said that it will not be business as usual with Kenya instead of taking the right steps, the man is amazing he says Kenya will be an example ohh how i hope this will come to pass we cant wait.

This is the test of the ICC credibility if they fail to bring justice to the PIV victims bearing in mind justice delayed is justice denied may they never in future be allowed to set their feet in Africa again

Ofentse1! good observation, but i like the words that Ocampo is using, he amazed me when he told the PEV masterminds that they better enjoy their christmas since it would be the last one to enjoy before he prosecutes them, as i said earlier cant wait for this to happen.

We wasting time beating about the bush who does not know who caused the problem, Raila number 1, kibaki numer 2, for he had the powers to protect. How do you kill peasants when an election is stolen?

All we want is ICC to fly the big fish who were the masterminds of the violence and a tribunal with proctorial powers to deal with the small fish any sin must be accounted for whether who was involved regardless of tribe and position.
