Iraqi president Jalal Talabani finally broke his silence regarding the recent Iraqi-Syrian tension caused by latest attacks at two ministries in downtown Baghdad, for which Syria was accused of sheltering those responsible for the attacks. As a result of those accusations, both countries recalled their ambassadors, while Iraq assigned thousands of extra police on their borders with Syria. Talabani brought some sense into the picture by criticizing Iraqi Prime minister Nouri-Al-Maliki for his accusations. It is however doubtful that Talabani’s recent comments on the issue will do much of a change for a tense relationship that has been escalating for a number of years now…
