Even though the government has denied the information as media rumours, this is the second time that Kenya has been mentioned in issues regarding the militia and the transitional government and we need clarification on the kind of help that the Kenyan government has extended to Somalia. The Al Shabaab is one of the insurgent groups fighting to topple the Transitional Federal Government backed by neighbouring countries like Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda. The government also ought to clear the air on the infamous Manyani training camp that has been the centre of the mercenary controversy with claims that it is being done under the cover of training police officers. The camp is said to be a training base for Somalia police and immigration officials.
