The latest incident of suicide bombing the Islamic University of Islamabad is yet another one of the most heartless attacks on the lives and peace of innocent people. Taking place in the very heart of the country, the attack has once again put the security potency of the country to serious question. This time, the lives of students have been bathed in blood and the public is not only grieving but also feeling angry over the government’s ineffectiveness in protecting civilians. Public anger manifested when furious students threw stones at the Interior Minster Rehman Malik when he visited the scene of the tragedy after the blast. Mr. Malik had to escape the scene without talking to journalists. Meanwhile, all the educational institutions in the country have been closed till further orders. For the entire nation, the question of who will protect them leads their apptehension amidst all the killing and more killing.
