Clinton is in the country for the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) where she is also expected to make known Obama’s stand on trying the chaos suspects. Kenya’s Justice and constitutional affairs minister has however blown the lid off by calling on ICC prosecutor Moreno Ocampo to issue arrest warrants for the key suspects behind the bloodshed that the country witnessed early last year amid high tension in the government circles as the grace period given by ICC to Kenya on the formation of a special tribunal to try the suspects expires. Also this comes at a time when the European Union has petitioned Prime Minister Raila Odinga on the reason why the cabinet decided to reject two draft bills that were to set up a local tribunal. The EU has taken its position as pressure mounts on the government to pave the way for the key suspects who include ministers, Members of Parliament to face justice either before the special tribunal or The Hague.

It is shocking that even after two years the government had failed completely to book the culprits. Even to validate the findings of Waki commission that many in office MP and others close to the ruling elite were involed it it...what a shame...

The government is not willing and will not at any given time bring the culprits to book since most of them are in it.

Impunity is way of life in Africa so don't expect any punishment for the perpetrators of violence.
