The swine flu outbreak that has affected various schools in the country has led the ministry of health to issue a ban stopping parents and guardians visiting students in boarding schools. There are 206 samples taken from various schools allover the country with 75 confirming the viral infection. 38 of which are from schools and the remaining 37 from the general population. The disease has spread very fast throughout most schools because of congestion and the difficulty in assessing an infected person. “any body with wet nose and sore throat is a potential carrier of the virus,” Mr James Kakooza, minister of primary health care. Swine flu was confirmed in the country since July this year but no deaths have yet occurred.
